The SJJIF is the international governing body of our sport with the mission to spread and unite the BJJ community around the globe.
The SJJIF embraces the general and fundamental principles of the Olympic, Paralympic, Deaflympic and Special Olympic Charter; and furthermore, aims to continue promoting these fundamental principles in all of our activities.
The SJJIF aims to respect and preserve the history of Jiu-Jitsu and ensure lineage of all participants and through BJJ promote peace, health, friendship, inclusion and more.
Many of the SJJIF’s projects are self-funded through event and membership income. Our ability to pursue many of our projects, day to day operations, international recognition, social programs, support schools and members has been adversely effected in these unprecedented times.
Today we need your support!
Unlike most international federations, SJJIF does not receive government funding for its Olympic mission, social and cultural programs and athlete support. We count on people like you to help provide our community with the resources and opportunity to become Olympians, Paralympians, Deaflympians, Special Olympians — and to represent our BJJ flag on the international level.
Your help today will help us shape tomorrow’s BJJ!
The SJJIF is a non-profit organization under USA Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3). Donations to the Sport Jiu-Jitsu International Federation are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.
The mission of the SJJIF is to unify and organize existing Sport Jiu-Jitsu, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Jiu-Jitsu national and/or territorial federations that share the vision of reaching Olympic greatness while preserving the unique history, culture, philosophy, and lineage of our sport.
The SJJIF believes that together, the SJJIF with its National Federations and members, will continue to develop the growing network of likeminded members who envision greater opportunities for our athletes and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu as we believe that our athletes deserve an equal right to Olympic greatness!
Together, we will prove that we are a stand-alone sport and gain recognition and admittance into the Olympic program as a competition event of the Olympic Games, Paralympic Games, Deaflympics and in all other games of the Olympic cycle.
