More than 1200 athletes, over 3500 spectators, and more than 1600 battles! The All Americas Jiu-Jitsu Tournament reached its 9th edition with the competence and organizational respect for athletes, teams, and professionals that has become the hallmark of NABJJF events. The competition held at the Cerritos College on the 20th and 21st of January was a huge success and brilliantly continued the January 2018 federation competition schedule.
The Kids No Gi Division set the ball rolling on the first day of competition with a great performance by team Ferny Jiu-Jitsu who took 1st place, Dojo Jiu-Jitsu who took 2nd place, and Checkmat who completed the podium. In the afternoon, Checkmat, Dojo Jiu-Jitsu, and Carlson Gracie Team formed the podium for the Adult Gi competition with Checkmat in the final leading position.
On the 2nd day of competition, the Kids Gi Division took place in the morning with Ferny Jiu-Jitsu being the champion. Checkmat finished in 2nd position and Gracie Barra in 3rd. DoJo Jiu-Jitsu dominated the Adult No-Gi Adults team competition with Elite Training Center and Checkmat ending up in 2nd and 3rd place.
